Allen Partners was formed in 2009 to address the growing need for leading global asset managers to be appropriately represented in Australia and New Zealand and to successfully raise institutional capital in this increasingly large and globally significant capital market. Allen Partners has deep, long-term relationships across the Australian and New Zealand superannuation and investment management industry combined with direct alternative asset investment and investment banking experience. Our relationships span the various layers of institutional investors (in-house investment teams, CIOs, CEOs, board members, trustees, chairpersons), external advisers (investment analysts and asset consultants) and across all fund types (corporate superannuation funds, industry funds, financial institutions’ platforms and public/government sector funds). In addition, we have deep relationships across the private equity, venture capital and family office landscape and with the major investment banking firms and transaction intermediaries.
CAPITAL RAISING & FUND PLACEMENT
- Identifying appropriate prospective investors through access to proprietary relationships and research databases
- Developing relationships with LPs, stakeholders and asset consultants and navigating the respective decision-making channels of each
- Building the brand profile in the local market through participation at industry conferences, stakeholder liaison and interaction with industry thought leaders and the media
- Developing strategies to address and influence the requirements, biases and sensitivities of key decision makers
- Ensuring seamless and pre-educated access to LPs for global investment professionals
- Liaising between LPs and asset managers in relation to LP investment requirements including co-investment opportunities
- Maintaining on-gong sales pipeline and active account management and communication with fund investors
CAPITAL ADVISORY AND M&A
- Sourcing private capital (equity, debt, mezzanine) for private investment opportunities including management buy-outs, growth expansion, early stage/venture capital, acquisitions and industry roll-ups
- M&A advice in relation to private businesses or assets
- Balance sheet restructuring and debt refinancing
- Advising on the sale and purchase of LP interests private investment vehicles (GPs)
- Re-positioning of investment strategies and private fund offerings to attract institutional investors
- Preparing private companies for IPO or strategic sale
- Sourcing and managing the co-investment process for private fund investments
